Did you know that you may be able to access Occupational Therapy through a Mental Health Treatment Plan?
As an endorsed Mental Health Occupational Therapist accredited to provide Focused Psychological Strategies under Medicare's Better Access initiative, I provide evidence-based mental health support for eligible individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges.
Fees & Medicare rebates
My standard fee is $195 per session. Eligible clients will receive a Medicare rebate for Mental Health Occupational Therapy sessions under the Better Access initiative (approximately $82). Medicare rebate amounts are determined by Medicare and may change over time.
How many sessions can I access?
Eligible clients can access up to 10 Medicare-rebated individual mental health sessions per calendar year under the Better Access initiative.

What Are Focused Psychological Strategies?
Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS) are evidence-based therapeutic approaches recognised by Medicare for the treatment of mental health conditions.
As a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, I am accredited to provide a range of Focused Psychological Strategies, including:
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Motivational Interviewing
• Psychoeducation
• Stress management techniques
• Emotional regulation strategies
• Problem-solving approaches
• Social and communication skills development
These approaches are integrated with Occupational Therapy's practical focus on helping people apply strategies within their everyday lives.
