Our Mindful Youth team
Tessa has a Bachelor in Occupational Therapy and a Diploma in Art Psychotherapy. Tessa's approach to her Occupational Therapy services are holistic, client centred and creative. Her passions as an OT lie in supporting clients to increase their emotional regulation skills, social skills, communication skills and sensory regulation skills. Tessa believes in supporting clients using Art Therapy approaches as an OT and empowering her clients to develop life skills that will allow them to participate in their life in a meaningful way. Tessa facilitates 1:1 sessions with children, adolescents and adults, from our Geelong studio.
Christine has a Bachelor in Art Psychotherapy and Diploma in Visual Arts. Her approach to Art Therapy supports clients to explore and understand themselves and their past experiences on a deeper level, increasing their emotional awareness and sense of self. Creativity and self expression is a key element in her work. Christine is a present and attentive clinician, who offers invitations to use different art procedures, asks questions, and is a witness to the therapeutic process. Christine facilitates 1:1 and group Art Therapy sessions with adolescents and adults, from our Geelong studio.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Health Sciences and is soon to be graduating with a Masters of Disability and Inclusion. Sarah’s approach to Therapy Assistance is client focussed, grounded in the knowledge that each client is the expert in their own lives and that their goals will be as unique as they are. With experience working with diverse people across mental health, community arts, social justice theatre, and disability, Sarah sees it as a privilege to be able to use her skills and experience to empower those she works with at Our Mindful Youth to live a life that they have proudly created.
Sarina is a fourth year occupational therapy student and when she is not at work or studying, you’ll most likely find her down the beach with her surf board. Sarina’s previous experience volunteering at Ocean Mind has sparked her interest in working with young people to support their health and wellbeing. She believes that helping people to build their life skills and connecting individuals through shared experiences at Our Mindful Youth, can empower them to grow and live their best lives.
Lucy is currently studying her Bachelor of Psychology, working towards her dream of becoming an Art Therapist. She is an artist and yoga teacher, with a passion for mental health and well-being, nature and creativity. She is grateful to be supporting the Our Mindful Youth team and clients, learning from the wonderful therapists she hopes to work alongside in the future. Lucy will be the friendly face answering all phone calls and emails made to Our Mindful Youth admin.
Charlie is a third year occupational therapy student, who is passionate about empowering Our Mindful Youth clients to enhance their social and emotional well-being skills, increase their independence and overall enjoyment with daily life. She enjoys working with individuals, families and team members to create positive relationships, motivation and engagement. She lives on Surf Coast and loves spending time with friends, surfing and practicing pilates.
Grace is a fourth year occupational therapy student, a big people person and a social butterfly. She is very passionate about health and wellbeing and supporting people to be able to live their best life. She tries her best to to spread positivity, inspire and motivate those around her. When she is not working or studying she loves spending time with friends, adventuring and being at the beach.
William is a third year occupational therapy student with a growing passion for working within mental health and well-being. William takes pride in his commitment to developing client and family relationships and seeing clients growth and development as he supports and empowers them to achieve their therapy goals. William enjoys all things outdoors, being in nature, seeing friends and traveling when he can.
